Fleetwood is one of Surrey’s town centres and has a population of slightly more than 60,000.

The community is named for the Fleetwood family who settled near to what is now 160 Street and Fraser Highway in the early 1900s. Specifically, it is named after Arthur Thomas Fleetwood who died in France during the First World War and whose statue now stands outside the Fleetwood Community Centre and Library.

Residents of Fleetwood benefit from many amenities. In addition to the Fleetwood Community Centre, they also have easy access to the the Surrey Sport and Leisure Complex, Fleetwood Park, Surrey Lake Park and Freedom Dog Park. The community celebrates together with the annual Fleetwood Festival which spans local heritage, health and environment.
